East vs West. Where to draw the line.

Basically the division point is the Capitol. East of the Capitol from the Isthmus out is classically the East Side of Madioson. West of the capitol from the Isthmus out west is the West Side. Near and Far is somewhat subjective but we will provide some basic guidelines.

Near East- The neighborhoods sit immediatel east of the Capitol, East Washingon Avenue, Atwood Avenue or east of the Isthmus.

Far East- These neighborhoods sit east of Stoughton Road, Cottage Grove Road or the outer-east growth corridor.

Near West- These neighborhoods sit immediately west of UW Campus, Regent Street, University Avenue or Midvale Boulevard.

Far West- These neighborhoods sit west of Whitney Way, Mineral Point Road, Old Sauk Road, Junction Road or the Beltline's far-west corridor.
