PowerSaver Loans Helped Sellers Make Green Home Improvements
The FHA PowerSaver mortgage insurance program announced on November 9, 2010 by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), has been discontinued and is no longer available. The program began in early 2011 when the FHA began offering federal loan insurance and other incentives to FHA-approved lenders that provide low-cost home improvement loans. To take part in the program, lenders had to meet certain FHA requirements and apply to participate.
