Jon Nelson did an outstanding job of representing our family in the sale and purchase of our homes.

Jon sold our home and adjacent property for more than we first believed we could have commanded. During the sale of our home, it was not uncommon for us to find Jon answering late night calls, giving sound advice, and bringing the latest offer to our home on a Sunday evening.

We refer to Jon as "the real estate agent that never sleeps" as his work ethic was relentless in his search that led to our current home of our dreams. His mathematical approach of providing a cost analysis for home sales in our neighborhood assured us that we were not overpaying for a new home and that Jon was negotiating the best deal possible.

Luckily, my good friend and co-worker recommended Jon to me, as Jon helped her and her husband purchase their first home. One meeting with Jon and I knew this was someone I could work with. After a few more meetings I knew this was also someone I could trust. By that time we were more than business partners, we became friends. I cannot recommend Jon enough for a real estate agent; in fact, you'd really have to be nearly insane not to work with him.

Jon's knowledge of all aspects of the real estate industry impresses me every time we meet. He understands building construction, interior design, landscaping and banking and of course how real estate works. I came into the home buying realm knowing the basics; Jon taught me so much more along the way. As we toured condos, he pointed out things that I never would have even thought to think about. He also explained the building's construction and the advantages/disadvantages that came with it. In the process of creating and accepting an offer, he made sure all the things that needed to be changed were in the offer and knowing how the real estate world works, he helped me come up with an offer that ended up being pretty beneficial to me.

I seriously could not have done this entire condo purchasing process without Jon. Well, I suppose physically and mentally I could have but the stress Jon saved me cannot be measured. Not only did he help make the entire process less stressful, we actually had a lot of fun together. If you need a thoughtful agent, especially as a first-time-home buyer I can highly recommend Jon.

Jon Nelson was the ideal real estate agent for my mother Catherine. My mom is in her late eighties and it was becoming apparent that living in her house she and my father owned for over 40 years, raised a family in and loved– was becoming a burden not a joy. She loved her neighbors, her location, her church, but the responsibility of the upkeep of the house and all that entails was too much. A close family friend knew and respected Jon and recommended him to my mother. I was reluctant to hire a real estate agent I had never met before and because I lived out of town I had to trust him completely. My mom set up a meeting and Jon impressed me immediately, he had a gentle respectful approach toward my mom and spoke to her as a client; he never looked past her to me. He did realize I was my mother's advocate and carefully worked with me without dismissing my mother.

Jon was straight forward and diplomatically explained to us what we needed to do in order to sell the house in a timely fashion. He worked alongside us like an expert fishing guide and suggested we complete a home pre-inspection which we did; it turned out to be the best decision we made. It enabled us to fix some problems, such as doing radon mitigation without holding up the sale of the house.

Jon understood the need to sell the house in a short period of time. The house we loved was sold in a timely, relatively painless manner. My mom, sister and I believe we got a fair price in a tough sellers market. My mom is living comfortably in a lovely assisted living facility and not worrying about selling a house. Jon helped us through a tough chapter in our lives with humor, an easy accommodating manner, and gave us peace of mind while working with us from over 100 miles away. We highly recommend Jon Nelson.
