Here’s a little more about me…

I specialize in helping Committed Buyers and Sellers reach their real estate objectives, whether that’s residential, investment, new construction or vacant land.
I am the Principal Broker and Owner of Nelson & Associates REALTORS, which means I hold a Wisconsin Brokers License rather than a traditional sales license. I took this extra step to make sure I could offer my clients the best possible service.
I’m a member of the Wisconsin and the National Realtor’s Associations, and I’m an active member of the South Central Wisconsin MLS.
I have a bachelor’s degree in political science, with minors in economics and psychology and a master’s degree in business administration.
I currently have over 33 years of professional, strategic marketing experience, and have developed successful programs for strong and weak markets, buyer’s and seller’s markets and most everything in between.
I have a number of real estate specialist designations representing hours of additional education and experience, they are: Certified Residential Specialist (CRS,) Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR,) Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES.)
I focus on my clients and use a robust marketing strategy that I call the Power Package. The Power Package seeks to position real estate as the Value Leader in the market by assessing the competition, the absorption rates and finding the optimal price point. This package includes a substantial personal investment that I make in my clients in return for their investment of trust in me.

A Special Note to Seniors:

As a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) I have taken additional specialized training and understand the pace and comfort levels that my Senior Clients prefer and I sincerely enjoy working with you. I have several Senior references that I can provide for you.

First Time Home Buyers:
Buying a home for the first time can be a complicated process. While as an ABR I will do everything I can to make the process as hassle free as possible, first timers especially will benefit from the additional serviced I can provide through Buyer’s Agency.

The Things I Like to Do

I am an avid woodworker, cabinet and clock builder and stained-glass craftsman, and have just recently completed designing my own dream house.
Jon Nelson, President of HOB, Inc., is a saxophonist with the Madison New Horizons Band.
I play the piano and French horn (to the extent anyone can play a French horn) and am currently playing alto, soprano and bari saxophone in the New Horizons concert and swing bands. I have a great teacher up at Ward Brodt, named Peter Ziegler.
I have a Vespa Grand Tourisimo motor scooter that I really enjoy riding… especially on warm summer afternoons and crisp fall weekends.
Jon Nelson, Real Estate Broker in Madison WI is a photographer. I get a real kick out of photography and have lugged 30lbs of cameras, lenses and miscellaneous equipment all over Europe on several occasions. (Where was digital then?)
Then there’s Molly, my 7-year old Airedale. With her, I think the old saying of a picture being worth a 10,000 words says it best.
